Corrections policy

We get things wrong occasionally. When we do, we fix it visibly rather than quietly.

Reporting an error

Email corrections@example.com with the article title and what you believe is incorrect. Include a source if you have one.

We aim to respond within two working days. If the error is factual, we correct the article and add a dated note at the foot explaining what changed.

Minor typographical fixes are made without a note. Anything that changes the meaning of a story is always noted.

We do not remove accurate published reporting. Where there is a legal or safety reason to amend an article, we will consider it on the facts.
